Because the Department of Health and Human Services has standards for school lunches, a girl in North Carolina had the lunch her mother had packed for her inspected by a food trooper and told that her

Now, three things come to mind here:
* Why doesn't our corpulent government go on a diet and exercise regime, loose a few trillion, and then come back and tell us how to manage our bodies?
* Isn't this the same government that once pushed some kind of food pyramid that had everyone packing away the carbs and putting on the pounds?
* Aren't these the same people who are going to be making – and, more importantly, enforcing – what used to be personal health care decisions?
We keep on traveling down that long, doleful road to serfdom.
