Interesting choice for a venue. It wouldn't perhaps have anything to do with the proposed solar collector farm in that community? It would be unfortunate to see Vermont Tiger participate in a NIMBY event, regardless of the specifics of the development proposal.

It is also interesting that Vermont Tiger is promoting an event organized by the Republican Caucus, given the site's claim to be non-partisan.

Pro Growth

The fact of the matter is that it is the VT Republican Party, and only the VT Republican Party, that supports common sense solutions to the issues facing the state. VT Dems/Progs are in la-la land, it is the only way they can cling to power.

To say that VT Tiger should not support something because the VT GOP does is baffling to me. Au contraire, I hope that the VT GOP adopts/promotes the common sense positions taken by VT Tiger. Hopefully, it will result in a new era of Republican dominance in VT politics.

Quotes

  • Only a crisis—actual or perceived— produces real change. When that crisis occurs, the actions that are taken depend on the ideas that are lying around. That, I believe, is our basic function: to develop alternatives to existing policies, to keep them alive and available until the politically impossible becomes politically inevitable ....
