Tamara Banks, writing in the Stowe Reporter, provides more "anecdotal evidence" in support of Glen Wright's argument. Namely, that Vermont's tax policies are driving high income and wealthy taxpayers out of the state.
Those whose instinct is to say, "Good riddance, who needs them," might want to check the most recent revenue projections. They are exceedingly disappointing and pretty much in line with what our friend the "Investment Guru," predicted earlier this week. It might be nice to have a few more successful people around to pick up the tax burden and help fill that yawning hole in the state's budget which is now in excess of $250 million over the next two years.
Come back, Glen. We need your money.

Vermonters should of all people based on their vote see the importance of preserving income generating folks here. After all, this is the new formula for financing and paving Obama's road to recovery for the nation at the moment. Closing rest areas, taxing booze and tobacco, and enticing people to play the lottery can only go so far.

Wow - Ms. Banks will probably get a lot of hate mail, but she is spot on. The 'quality of life' in Vermont is a myth. How's the weather been this year? Any chance of summer appearing before August?
