Running On Fumes

Other than the fact that the legislature is closing up shop, there isn't much to celebrate.  Consider this.  This.  And this.  There is serious work to be done and stimulus package is a start.  Its passage is a tacit admission that the state's economy is in enough trouble to require stimulation, even if the actual provisions of the package don't get to the fundamentals.  For that we shall have to hope for a new legislature that concerns itself with issues other than global warming and industrial hemp.
