Cairn, isn't FreshTracks invested in local bottled water? Tell me about VT's great business climate again.

Quechee VT, the Christmas Loft closed last year, and now the Mesa store closed. The Woodstock Inn is only doing business on the weekends.Vermont a new england ghost town.

Gregg: I have "no comment" officially on your question but can tell you that this has little to do with Vermont and much to do with the state of the industry and particularly fuel costs.

C'mon, guys. The climate may be grim, but at least Mr. (Cairn) Cross is trying to be optimistic - no need to snipe at him - there are many other 'rich' targets.

Quotes

  • "If, from the more wretched parts of the old world, we look at those which are in an advanced stage of improvement, we still find the greedy hand of government thrusting itself into every corner and crevice of industry, and grasping the spoil of the multitude. Invention is continually exercised, to furnish new pretenses for revenues and taxation. It watches prosperity as its prey and permits none to escape without tribute." -- Thomas Paine (Rights of Man, 1791)
