Florida seems to have come up with a plan to make medical insurance less gold-plated and, hence, more affordable. Ask yourself if it could happen in Vermont. Then, once you have stopped laughing, ask yourself, "why not?"

So basically the Tiger supports maximum coverage for the rich who can afford it and minimal, if any at all, coverage for the poor who can't even afford that. What the laugh is all about is that this is called reform. Why is it that the universal coverage of the great majority, if not all, of the industrialized nations provide for their citizens is so wrong for the USA? I just don't get it.

You will get the same quality of medicine they have -- poor and delayed. Socialism brings everyone down to a common level, not up to it.

George- why am I forced to buy medical insurance that includes mental health visits? I'm never going to a shrink so why should I be forced to pay for the option? The insurance doesn't have to be cheaper but how about the consumer option of dental or mental health. That way we can choose whether we want a head full of marbles or a head full of teeth.
