Not our job, really, to break stories but we did just learn that the legislature, on its last lap toward adjournment, passed a resolution saying there will be no veto session this year. So if the governor does veto the Entergy bill, it will stand.
This development proves that while the legislative leaders may be wrong on the issues and may lack certain political skills, they can count.
(Update: Perhaps we should have mentioned the Speaker Gaye Symington announced earlier today that she will not run for a 7th term in the House. No word on her intentions regarding a run against Governor Douglas.)
