By now, we've all heard so many tales of those who have been bold -- or foolish -- enough to take on Vermont's dreaded regulatory beast that we no longer feel the old sense of awe. 

"Ah, that's just Sid the dragon," we shrug and say, "snorting fire and doing his permit thing. Whattayagonnado."
