My hi-tech job is not going to California, but I am moving it to Texas. As a long-term supplemental at a local semiconductor manufacturer, my term would have ended in August of 2008, and my discussions with management did not convince me that I would be re-hired as an LTS or a permanent employee. And I found that jobs for me in my specialty are thin to non-existent in VT. I will continue to follow Vermont news on VTTiger, since, although I (BurlHS '76, UVM '80)may never be back, I am concerned for my friends who are here.
