In its political blog, the Free Press's Terri Hallenbeck talks informally about the problems of luring ex-Vermonters back to the state and describes some emails she's received. Then she says
Truth is, if it were easy to live in Vermont everybody'd be doing it, and then Vermont wouldn't be Vermont. Then nobody'd want to live here.
The logic, and the statement itself, reminds me very much of this Yogi Berra quote, referring to one of his favorite restaurants:
No one goes there any more, it's too crowded.
