Here's What We're Talking About

Amity Shlaes, whose best-selling book on FDR and the Great Depression is making people question some of the convential economic wisdom, wrote about the Irish example as it applies to the situation in a struggling New England state.  The essay was published more than five years ago and the state was Maine.  But the insights are dead-on and apply to the Green Mountain State as much as they ever did to Maine.
