... the effects of ethanol are to raise food prices, cost taxpayers money to subsidize its production, cause lower gas mileage in our vehicles, cause pollution, reduce habitat for fish, birds and wildlife and use more energy to produce than it gives back.
Yeah, but other than that, it is a helluva good deal. Actually, David Dean, a member of the Vermont House of Representatives, leaves something out of his indictment of the ethanol boondoggle. Turns out, the stuff can be bad for your chain saw.
For a whole lot of Vermonters, that is a deal breaker.
