Louis Porter writing on Hugh Kemper's study which is the lead item on this site and deserving of the widest possible readership. Perhaps the most striking element in the Porter story is the utter intellectual bankruptcy of this response by a teachers' union spokesperson:
"We have the second smallest population to governor ratio in the nation. Nobody is suggesting we need fewer governors ... "
If that is the best the educrats can do, then it is long past time to leave them out of the discussion. Let them do what they do best -- count paper clips, write incomprehensible reports, and calculate the size of their pensions.

Hugh Kemper's assessment of the Vermont Education situation is the clearest ever appeared in print. The challenge now is how do we get it infront of the public (Manchester Journal and other similar local town papers on a serialized basis?) After that how do you unseat Boss Tweed and find new competent leadership
for the educational system in this state.
