Most of us are wondering, do I need to go on a permanent carbon diet, and what does that mean? Is being carbon neutral something I personally can achieve? Am I ever going to be able to live guilt free again, and not feel I am committing a "sin" every time I start up my vehicle, or take a trip to Europe or Costa Rica?
Now come on, does anyone you know really feel a need for absolution every time he starts the car? And how does that become the equivalent of jetting off to Europe or Costa Rica? The later, of course, is a major eco-tourism destination and the writer of this giddy op-ed is in that business. Her clients, then, tend to be the sort of people who would feel qualms about adding more carbon to the atmosphere.
